By using our service and submitting a quote request, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2 Our Service

WeBuyLaptops provides a laptop buyback service. We offer to purchase used laptops from individuals and businesses. Our service includes:

• Online quote generation based on device specifications and condition
• Free prepaid shipping labels for sending your device to us
• Device inspection and verification
• Secure data erasure using Blancco certified software
• Payment via bank transfer or PayPal

3 Eligibility

To use our service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be the legal owner of the device or have authority to sell it
• Have a valid UK address for shipping
• Have a UK bank account or PayPal account for payment

4 Quotes and Pricing

• Quotes are generated based on the information you provide about your device
• Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue
• Final price is subject to physical inspection of the device
• We reserve the right to revise the quote if the devices actual condition differs from the description provided
• All prices quoted are in British Pounds (GBP)

5 Device Requirements

We only accept devices that meet the following criteria:

• Working Condition: The device must power on and be fully functional
• No Activation Locks: Apple devices must have Find My disabled and be signed out of iCloud
• No Password Locks: Device must be factory reset or passwords removed
• No Stolen Devices: You must be the legal owner
• No Broken/Faulty Devices: We do not accept devices that do not turn on, have broken screens, or other major faults

6 Shipping

• We provide a free prepaid Royal Mail Tracked 48 shipping label
• Devices are insured up to 500 pounds during transit
• You are responsible for packaging the device securely
• We recommend using bubble wrap and a sturdy box
• Keep your proof of postage receipt
• We are not responsible for devices lost or damaged due to inadequate packaging

7 Inspection and Price Adjustment

Upon receiving your device, we will inspect it to verify the condition matches your description.

• If the condition matches, we will process payment at the quoted price
• If the condition differs, we will contact you with a revised offer
• You may accept the revised offer or request the device be returned
• If you decline the revised offer, we will return the device free of charge
• Inspection typically takes 1-2 business days after receipt

8 Payment

• Payment is processed within 48 hours of inspection completion
• We offer payment via BACS bank transfer or PayPal
• Bank transfers typically arrive within 1-3 business days
• PayPal transfers are usually instant
• You must provide accurate payment details - we are not responsible for delays due to incorrect information

9 Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• All devices undergo secure data erasure using Blancco certified software
• Our data wiping meets NIST 800-88 standards
• A certificate of data destruction is available upon request
• We recommend backing up your data before sending your device
• We are not responsible for any data loss - please ensure you have backed up important files

10 Ownership Transfer

By selling your device to us, you confirm that:

• You are the legal owner of the device
• The device is not stolen, lost, or subject to any third-party claims
• Ownership transfers to us upon acceptance of the final offer and payment
• You will not attempt to report the device as stolen or make any claims against it after sale

11 Cancellation

• You may cancel your order at any time before shipping the device
• Once the device is shipped, you cannot cancel unless we are unable to meet your quote
• If you wish to cancel after we receive the device, we will return it free of charge

12 Limitation of Liability

• Our liability is limited to the quoted price of the device
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
• We are not responsible for data loss - please back up your device before sending
• These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer

13 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
